After back to back victories against Busnau and SV Gablenberg, the second team were hoping to continue their good form with a win in the sun against Steinenbronn. It only took ABV 2minutes to create the first chance. Some good work on the left flank from Nico Reuer who skipped passedtwo men, gave top scorer, Dane Askew, a golden opportunity to open the scoring but he could only smash his header off the bar. This would set the tone for the day. Steinenbronn eventually came into the game and almost took the lead with two opportunities. First was a spectacular acrobatic effort which grazed the bar. This was followed by some good build up play by Steinenbronn and only for a last ditch block by Florian Rötzer, ABV would have fallen behind. Realising they were in a game, ABV upped the tempo and started to create more chances. Askew, Rami Ounaies and Mirko Reickmannall testing the Steinenbronn keeper but unable to open the scoring. Reickmann did have the ball in the net before half time but unfortunately he was adjudged offside.
